Card Description

When choosing a random card from my deck, I ended up with the emperor in my hand. This card is showing what looks to be a king or mighty ruler sitting in his throne. He's wearing a red robe and gold crown. Under his robe he seems to be wearing a suit of armor. In his hand he holds what looks to be a globe in his right hand and in his left hand is a scepter of sorts. His throne sits on a set of mountains behind him. He has a long white beard, I feel as though his age and look of power may represent wisdom. His throne looks to have ram heads on the four corners of it. I feel that this card stands for power; power and authority.

Desk Description

For my deck, I purchased the Smith-Waite Centennial Deck. As I was browsing amazon for a deck to buy, I came across this one. What originally drew me to this deck, was the artwork. I genuinely enjoyed the drawings. Even the artwork on the tin case it came in, pulled me in. The muted colors of the deck also caught my eye. The symbol on the back of the cards reminded me of a sand dollar. This reminded me of the beach which has always been a place of comfort for me.
